Access Information

The Moving Body-Moving Image Team is committed to making the Festival as accessible as possible. If you’d like to come, but something makes that difficult for you, or if you have questions about the events, the venue, have particular seating needs, or would like to tell us about your access needs, we would love to hear from you. Please email us at moving.body.moving.image@gmail.com

COVID Safety: Proof of vaccination and masks are required to attend any of the in-person live events. This policy will be enforced to help ensure the safety of all our communities.

Entrance: The Glicker Milstein Theater in the Diana Center (location for the Main Live Screening Event) and the Movement Lab in the Milstein Center (location for the Live Installation) are all ADA compliant with a no step entry. We have level access from the sidewalk to Barnard's main walk through the Barnard Main Gates (on Broadway and 117th street). There is elevator access to both locations, as well as signage and day-of volunteers for directions. Map of Barnard College Campus, including the Diana Center and Milstein Center, below.

Restrooms: Public restrooms are located on the same floor of both locations and are multi-stall and wheelchair accessible with handrails. Gender neutral restrooms are located on the same floor as the Movement Lab (location for the Live Installation) and via elevator from the Glicker Milstein Theater (location of the Main Live Screening Event) and they are single-occupancy and wheelchair accessible with handrails.

Audio Access: All films with dialogue will be screened and presented on the website with open captions. Audio descriptions for our films are available through our website. For live access to audio descriptions on April 3rd, a QR and NaviLens code with be provided at check in, both of which link to a SoundCloud playlist of audio descriptions for Shorts Program 1 and Shorts Program 2 films. Over-the-ear headphones will also be provided. The feature documentary, Vision Portraits, will be screened with audio description. Our guest speaker conversation will have ASL interpretation and live captioning.

Service Animals: Service Animals are gladly welcomed.
